PRACTICE

 

Michael J. Pitton is an arbitrator, adjunct law professor, speaker and author.  He has trained attorneys and former judges in arbitration law and practice, and provides consultation to attorneys in arbitration cases. 

Mr. Pitton applies creative dispute resolution strategies gained through decades of multi-state litigation experience.  That work includes trials, appeals, arbitrations, mediations and administrative hearings representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

He has taught numerous courses in arbitration law and practice to upper class law students for more than 20 years as a member of the adjunct faculty at the University of Iowa College of Law.

Mr. Pitton is a member of the arbitration roster of the American Arbitration Association and has been inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.He is licensed to practice law in the states of Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois.
